It’s not the easiest job, and although we probably wouldn’t trade it for anything, freelancers need ways to cope with the stress of the job and ways to avoid becoming a burned-out, ex-freelancer.
Today, let’s look at ways to deal with stress. You’ll never eliminate stress completely, at least not while you’re alive, but there are ways to keep it manageable:
Don’t overcommit. We often take on more than we can actually do. That leads to overwork, stress, and missed deadlines. Take on only as much as you can handle without too much stress.
Learn to say no. In order to avoid overcommitting, we need to learn to turn down projects and requests. Many of us have problems with this. Practice makes perfect. Turn down as much as you can afford to.
Work on small tasks, not large projects. Tackling large projects can be overwhelming. Instead, focus on one small task within a project — something you can easily do in a short amount of time (10-20 minutes is perfect, but a little longer is OK). If a task takes longer than that, break it down some more. Now just focus on that little task.
Don’t try to control others, or the world. This sounds obvious when written down, but in reality, we often try to do both. You cannot control other people, and trying to do so will only result in frustration. So will trying to control everything around you. All you can control is yourself — focus on that, and you’ll stress out less.

Planting Sea CoralIs a program to get a fund for the people in LES Village to rehabilitating the coral surround there, with the donor directly involves by adopt a coral. The goals of “Adopt the Coral” project are :
1. Fund rising to be able to continue their coral rehabilitation project.
2. To allow other people to participate and create sense of belonging to their coral farming project.
3. Alternative livelihood to the fishermen rather than catching ornamental fish.
4. Build underwater coral garden for eco diving tourism.
By “Adopt the Coral”, everybody can obviously adopt a coral. To be an adopter you’ll only have to pay a fee once advance for Rp. 165000/US$ 19/SIN$ 30 and fill the adoption form, which it contained with your adopter number, mailing or email address, and number of coral you want to adopt.
After that the group of fishermen “Mina Bhakti Soansari” in Les Village will do the Coral’s staking process. The Staked coral later on will be stick on above the substrate that have been named by the adopter’s name.
The Substrate that have been named and planted coral will be put in to the underwater coral garden and shoot it by camera. The picture of the planted coral on digital version file will be sent to the adopter by email.

Awalnya latihan baca jam di atas kanan itu dan merancang jadwal naik pesawat. Rule paling sederhana, misalnya kamu terbang dari A ke B, dari B nggak boleh langsung balik lagi ke A.
Nah pada dasarnya dengan keep flying ke berbagai tempat (lebih bagus ke tempat2 yang terus berbeda) dan naik berbagai airlines maka status frequent flyermu diharapkan naik (dan tentunya nanti akan banyak keuntungan dari situ).
Plus-plusnya:
1. Tiap hari Senin cek Air Traffic Controller untuk liat Destination of the Week dan Airline of the Week. Ada reward tertentu kalau kita berhasil ke destination tersebut atau naik airline tersebut.
2. Tiap hari ada tail of the day competition di mana kita disuruh nebak nama airline dengan hanya melihat graphic ekor pesawat. Rewardnya flycash & flymiles.
3. Tiap periode tertentu (sekitar 15 harian) ada tebak2an next destination & next airline, yang kalo tebakan kita tepat reward flycash-nya lumayan banget. Nggak tepat aja dapet participation reward kok.
4. Belum lagi program Lord of the Skies yang ngasih reward untuk penerbang2 di peringkat tertinggi dengan kategori macem2.
5. Dan tentunya sambil ngejar achievement pribadi, ranking Indonesia juga ikut terdongkrak. Hehehe... ;)

Kalau kalian penggemar Tintin, jangan kaget bukan cuma Peter Van Dongen yang adaptasi gaya gambar Tintin. Ada lagi ilustrator bernama Julian Opie.
Dia adalah seniman kontemporer asal Inggris. Ciri khas karyanya terletak dari penggambaran karakter yang dibatasi outline warna hitam dengan warna warna flat untuk bagian lainnya. Detailnya minimalis, untuk bagian mata cukup ditonjolkan dengan lingkaran hitam dan bayangan dari lubang hidung. Mirip penggambaran karakter Tintin.
Dia pernah datang ke Indonesia, salah satu karyanya mengenai karakter orang orang Bali.
