I am in love with needled felt. As soon as I have the raw material, I would like to start to create one! I bought this book last night to keep my learning spirit high! P.S: I still have imported the wool roving :( I have visited this site and hope someday I could get the material and the needles. >Visit also this site for other materials.
Hehee..aku suka belanja online sekarang. Apalagi kalau barang-barang yang dijual is one of a kind alias tidak pasaran, dan lebih bagus lagi kalau made by order. Tentu aku ngga berani belanja menggunakan kartu kredit, lagipula barang yang aku beli biasanya ngga pernah mahal atau mewah kok. Hari ini aku baca postingan menyenangkan. Pesananku sudah jadi. Senangnya!! This wirework artist is my fave designer :) Look at her amazing creations! *wink*

published: 2003 by DK ADULT binding: Hardcover isbn : 0789493365 (isbn13: 9780789493361) pages: 384
Anne's review:
I bought this book in a book festival, only for $ 10 (was $ 14.93 at Amazon). It is a classic approach to the technical aspects of art, we can learn of many mediums and how to use them in many ways.
Smith presents a wealth of information on established materials that he organizes first by function--pigments, resins, solvents, and the like--then by media categorized according to discipline. For instance, his section on drawing contains detailed entries on oil pastels, charcoal, and conte crayon. Painting elicits descriptions and depictions of the uses of watercolor, oils, and acrylics. In the printmaking and digital media and photograpzxzhy categories, Smith focuses more on method than media, with subsections on intaglio, lithography, and screenprinting in the former, and, in the latter, a 10-page discussion of computer manipulation of digital images. Throughout, he amply employs full-color illustrations and demonstrations as examples and teaching aids. This excellent overall guide to the visual arts boasts multiple appendixes on color, perspective, health, and safety. With glossary and index, this far-ranging overview is hard to beat.
== Originally published in 1987 by Knopf, this fully revised and updated guide contains updated text and brand new, beautiful, full-color images. Inside the covers, step-by-step projects and glowing reproductions of the great masters inspire readers to expand their vision and experiment with creative techniques. The text is designed to instruct, inspire, and broaden the skills of anyone interested in all aspects of art from drawing, painting, and printmaking to digital media and applied techniques.

An inspiring and comprehensive guide to art education.
In this accessibly written guide for classroom and art teachers as well as parents, Nancy Beal shows how to release children's marvelous gifts of expression. Beal believes that children must first of all be comfortable with their materials. She focuses on six basic media: collage, drawing, painting, clay, printmaking, and construction. She gives practical consideration to all facets of a teacher's responsibility: how each material should be introduced; what supplies are best; how a classroom may be set up to support children's explorations; and how teachers may ask open-ed questions to stimulate personal and meaningful expression. Beal also discusses how to integrate art into social studies and how to make museum visits productive and fun. Each chapter includes a section specifically for parents on helping their children create art at home.
Beal has taught art to children for twenty-five years and is able to draw on a wealth of examples from her classroom. The Art of Teaching Art to Children is extensively illustrated with her students' art, visual proof of her gifts as an educator and art enthusiast.

| | I love silly things. These are some of them, mostly from internet. |
Link: http://softshape.com/software/desktop/chamclock/wallpaper/spec.html Wallpaper Clock skin file, basically, is a set of PNG, JPEG, GIF images and one INI-file, packed as a ZIP archive with .wcz extension. Every minute the program compiles a background image, as well as month, day, hour and minutes images to a single image. The result is set as wallpaper or displayed as screensaver. Optionally, you can add zodiac and moon images, as well as screensaver animation. Wallpaper Clock skins do not display seconds as they are refreshed once in a minute.
All images in the set should be the same size as a background image. Thus, each .wcz file contains a wallpaper for one specific screen size.
Read the complete tutorial on the website. I haven't try it myself, though. :)
